‘The work consists of two individual, yet synchronized tapes playing in synchronization and continuously by being projected over two walls of a corner or alternatively next to each other. (…) Goldiggers was filmed in a large class room/ lecture theatre type space and involved five people performing. The participants are dressed like school girls in gym slips. They are caught in between institutional discipline through exercise and the desire to grow into mature womanhood. These are young women, not actors, who have been chosen because of their individual abilities and experience.'
