Y-fronts rendered in bronze. Artist’s statement: ‘I met Jim on a number nine tram. We shared a bottle of cheap vermouth and a few spliffs. We discussed the complications of honesty. We assumed roles, played people we had never met, said things we’d heard other people say. I guess we lied a little. Sometimes the personal is hard to articulate. The rationale includes tiredness. An oppressive game of charades with strange friends. If we could begin by laughing, then…’
