Description:
‘Sex is (…) addressed in Andrew Bannister’s two part "Cell" and "Fuse". Sterile, solitary, a bed in an isolated room suggests monastic abnegation ("Cell"), while a black leather belt looped around a candle ("Fuse") (…) hints at vigorous sexual activity. And not accidentally, with its bio¬logical associations, the word "Cell" hints at hospitalisation, while "fuse" suggests imminent explosion. There is a hint that abnegation may not suffice.’
