Description:
‘Bernadette Bentley creates shapes as unex¬pected in their materials as their forms. A white cushion, lying suspiciously heavily, could never be lifted by those vestigial limbs. Filled with salt, it provokes contradictory reactions: outwardly soft, but hard inside; apparently port¬able, but difficult to shift. It irritates as it invites affection.’
