‘Explanation would betray the secret of Adrian Izzard's “New Man Rising”, where video is put to the opposite of its usual documentary use. For fiction is created when the viewers construct that fiction, by willing it to exist. Tension between suspension of disbelief and the visible truth informs Izzard's installation.’
