‘In the work there is sensitivity in the naïve storytelling technique and visual nostalgia that recreates the innocence and wonder of children’s books and stories. The work seems to look backwards and forwards at the same time. Backward to the past of Ladybird children’s books and people growing their own produce and forwards to a softer, more environmentally sound future.
